Maintenance: preparation and restart after the summer break

Keeping Dental Four milling machines in perfect operating condition is essential to ensure their longevity and optimal performance. Careful maintenance before a period of inactivity, such as a holiday break, and proper preparation on return are essential to avoid problems and reduce machine downtime.

Preparing the DF machines for storage:

• Cleaning the milling chamber: remove all machining residue.
• Cleaning the cutter carriage and cutters: use mineral oil (e.g. Svitol, WD40) to remove residue and lubricate.
• Cleaning the camera optics: if present, clean the lens with a soft, damp cloth.
• Cleaning and lubricating the shunk with mineral oil.

On return, repeat the checks and verify correct operation before resuming production.
